Flowers of the Katy Trail

15 May

What an incredible adventure we had riding the Katy Trail! After 6 days of riding we had covered the entire Katy – 227 miles, plus a few additional miles totaling 240.

It was fun, relaxing, soul-nourishing, inspirational, challenging, and an overall fantastic trip! I will post about it in more detail but in the mean time look at the spring flowers we encountered along the way.

the Trail.

What beautiful scenery you had!!! I *LOVE* looking at flowers in nature (even more so than the ones we plant ourselves). Congrats on your trip. I can’t wait to read more about it.

I agree “naturally occuring” flowers being more beautiful. I hope I get a chance to write about it before I forget it all. 😉

My daughter is graduating today, tonight we’re having party for her, then tomorrow friends come for a few days… all great things but will be few more days before I can post.

College, she’s getting her MSW from OU. I’m very proud of her, social work was my career field (no MSW though). Funny, she got her BSW from UT in Austin and she lives in Stillwater where my son-in-law is a prof at OSU in Engineering. Well rounded, eh.. 😉

WOW- congrats to her!! Anyone who goes into a profession of service to the community is someone who should be valued and revered (*should* be, but I know that’s not the reality of it). Good for her!!
Teaching is as close to social work as I’ll get. Her job is SO very important!! Yippee!
